We used to have yearly Pikus vacations which worked while the cousins were young, but as each family has gotten older and the kids becoming busier it is really hard to find more than a day or two that will work for everyone. So this year we just planned for 1 day and it was Lagoon. We got there before the park opened so we could grab a pavilion as a meeting area for the kids. They all separated and mom volunteered to take any of the little ones on rides while the parents and older kids could enjoy the bigger rides since mom had been to Lagoon several times this year with Auri. So all the cousins paired up and off they went. We made sure Grandpa had a wheelchair and had him tag along with the Paces and mom. We went back for lunch where mom had posters the cousins could make for Jayden's welcome home at the airport and Grandma planned a bingo game with prizes for everyone which was a blast. Skyler loved his prize, kids goggles which came in handy on our next ride with everyone... Rattlesnake Rapids. Grandpa was even able to ride 4 times around with the grandkids. Grandma Pikus of course got the worst of the waterfall as always when she attempts these rides. Mom and Grandma then went and bought pizza for dinner and we all headed for Pioneer Village for ice-cream cones to top off the day. Although our time seemed short, it was worth the effort to keep us and the cousins close. We always have a great time together!
