Fall Break Shenanigans

We didn't have much planned for fall break because the girls wanted to hang out with friends and Mom didn't realize Jayden would have a fall break at the same time as the girls. So at the last minute Jayden asked mom what our plans were. Since the girls wanted to hang out with friends and Jayden wanted to work on Thursday we decided to compromise and let the girls hang out for the first two days with friends and the last half of Fall break we would head down to St. George where we would hang out with the cousins.

We got to the Hafen's house just in time to unpack our car and head out to a little resort where the kids were able to skimboard, paddleboard, make sandcastles and relax. It was much needed downtime after a busy October. Grandma Woobie was able to come down as well and joined us for dinner at the Pizza Factory. After dinner we stopped by John's Gun shop where he gave us a tour then it was then back home where we had to play a few games of Ghost in the Graveyard with the kids.

The next day, John had a friend that had some suite tickets to a Nascar race in Las Vegas for Dad, Mom Mikelle and John. So while the parents were away, the kids and Grandma definitely played. The race was so fun and a first for mom and dad. We were able to watch the first part of the race inside the suite and eat some lunch. Then we walked around and watched the next part outside where the cars were extremely loud, we were happy to have our seats inside after that so we could visit while enjoying the race rather than wear headsets and earplugs to drown out the noise. It certainly made us fans of Nascar!

Since the parents left the kids and Grandma to fend for themselves they decided to live it up. They went to TopGolf and played a few games, ate lunch, went on one wheel and bike rides, played 4 square, played some x-box games and relaxed. When the parents arrived everyone was ready for dinner so G-Woobs and Mom went to pick up some Hawaiian food at Mo' Bettas. After dinner, it was another night of Ghost in the Graveyard. The next morning we went to church, ate lunch and hit the road so we could be back early enough to get the kids ready for the next weeks school week. It was very last minute and not well planned, but Fall Break was a definite SUCCESS!
