The last of our family has officially graduated to the double digits. Auri has been looking forward to her birthday all summer. She is the youngest in her class, but one of the tallest as well. She decided she wanted to make her own "pop-it" cake for her birthday, with mom's help of course. She invited a few friends for a boating day. Kassie, Alexandra and Megan. Aysia also invited her friend Addie. A few of the girls were nervous to go tubing which was the bulk of our activity on the lake including swimming of course. Alexandra was the most nervous, but finally consented after we only had about an hour left. The hour actually turned into 2 hours because there was a fire that started in the nearby canyon and we stuck waiting for other boats to get off the water as well as Bart bringing the trailer back up after he had it welded while we were on the water. The girls were sad it was over since they finally loved the rough tube rides, but that is how we like to end it on a good note. We let the girls eat cupcakes and Auri open gifts at a nearby pavilion while we readied the boat to head back down the mountain.

All Double Digits...
We still had our family party to look forward to with Auri. We decided it would be best to celebrate it at Grandma and Grandpa's house since our house is still being renovated. The "pop-it" cake turned out perfect with Aysia's help cutting the fondant. We used gumballs for the large poppers. We invited the Pace's over to celebrate as well. Auri mentioned she wanted pop-it's for her birthday but was shocked when she was given the largest pop-it she had ever seen from Mom and Dad. Of course, in stead of blowing her candles out she decided to wind them out with her paper plate to make sure no germs were being spread during these Covid times. It was a great couple of days to celebrate our baby who is growing up way too fast.
