We typically head out of town for fall break, however after giving the kids a few options, they all wanted a "Staycation" so they could hang out with friends and do things close by. Aysia had a Cornbelly's pass so she headed out with a few friends to hang out there and walk through the haunted house which she and her friends were too scared to do last year. Mom took time off so she could hang out with the kids, so Auri asked if her and her friend Swayzie could go to Lagoon. It was a cold rainy morning and we knew it would be a cold evening, but that would also keep the crowds away so we headed up. And we were right, there were very few people there and we were able to get right on the rides or just wait for one or two cycles before we were on. We ate dinner in Pioneer Village and rode the rides all night long. Luckily we dressed for the weather including hand warmers. The next day we decided to invite Grandma with us to the Witchfest at Gardner Village. Skyler came along when he heard we would be eating lunch at Archibald's Restaurant. It was quite crowded, but Auri was able to find every witch on her scavenger hunt sheet. Of course we had to stop by the chocolate shop where Skyler grabbed a chocolate covered banana and some fudge to share. It definitely set the mood for the Halloween season!
