We were excited for another beautiful spring break day. We headed to the San Diego Zoo for the day. It was such a large zoo that we didn't have the time or energy to see every animal, but we made sure to see each one of the kids favorites. We were also able to take a gondola ride over the entire zoo. Some of our favorite animals were the turtles most likely due to the fact we were missing Jayden on this trip and the turtles reminded us of his sweet turtle Tommy. We then planned to head to the La Jolla tide pools while the tide was low. The kids loved searching for sea creatures and picking up crabs within the pools. It was then time to head back to the hotel in order to make it in time for our 1 hour swimming reservation. It is definitely a different time that we live in right now, but we are grateful we can still have these experiences and enjoy life through the chaos.
