For Dad and Aysia's birthdays, we decided to keep it low key since Aysia had her dance camp earlier that day and dad had to work. So we kept it with just our family and Grandma and Grandpa of course since we were still living there. Aysia was given a few clothes for her birthday and Dad was given a trip to see the Count of Monte Cristo play at Tuachan in St. George and a Dave Matthews Band concert in Denver. 2 Great reasons to celebrate! We give the kids a choice if they want a large birthday gift or a party with a smaller gift. Aysia chose both. We were able to keep the party cheap by having a swim party at Uncle Rob's and she was able to get the clothes she wanted for her birthday. She was able to invite 6 friends, swim, hangout and eat pizza and cupcakes. The slide was the obvious hit!
For Skyler's birthday, 4 days later then Dad and Aysia's, mom asked if he wanted a party. In the end he decided he wanted a low key birthday with dinner at Red 8 for sushi and home to eat cake and ice cream. He went shopping with mom and bought swim shorts and food of course for his birthday gifts. He was also given money to pay for his season ski pass.
