Spring Break (California)- Day 4

We needed to make the most of our last full day in Sunny California. So we planned a city bus tour of San Diego where we were able to hop on and hop off the bus at a few of the top spots around the city. We didn't have a lot of time to stop since we had made reservations to go whale watching that afternoon. We loved Old Town San Diego and shopped at a few stores there. We didn't have time to eat since the bus line was filling up quickly and we really needed to make it in order to catch the next tour we had planned. We grabbed a large plate-full of burritos to share as we boarded the boat. It was a little cool at the top of the boat so we settled inside by a window. We were told that it was nearing the end of the Whaled migration season and that only about half of the boats were seeing whales at this time. We were optimistic and hopeful that we would at least spot one. It was a our lucky day! We spotted 2 as well as several dolphins playing along side the boat as we sailed. The kids were ecstatic that we were able to see a gray whale out in the open ocean. After the adventure on the water, we ended up going to dinner with a friend Lacee made on the show "All Round Champion". his name was Aaron. His family joined us as well and we enjoyed dinner and conversation with them. It was then time to head back for one last pool time at the hotel!
