There is no better way to start the day than giving yourself and enema up the nose for a Covid Test. That woke us right up. We ordered the tests in the US so we could take the tests when it was convenient for us. We decided to get it over with so we could drop it in the mail and be done. Our Hotel offered breakfast each morning, we loved everything except the sausage which we weren't really sure what it was. The waffles were amazing as well as the made to order omelets. We then headed to Hertz where we rented a small car for the day. We were shocked to find that it was a stick shift where we got situated in the car. It had been years since I had driven a stick and luckily it was like riding a bike, it came back naturally and we were off. Thank goodness for GPS that helped us get around. Driving on the Left side of the road got some getting used to and Shonnie let me know when we were getting close to the curb. Luckily we had full coverage for insurance just incase we hit a few curbs. We headed out of the city and into the country. We stopped and toured Windsor Castle and the cathedral on the grounds. We learned it is the castle where the Queen resides most of the time. There was a brief, strong rainstorm that we were caught in, but luckily we had our raincoats. We then headed to Bath. It was a cute little town where we walked around, ate some amazing pizza and delicious chocolate dessert while watching a musical performer in the center square near the town church. It was a perfect setting. We heard about the "Cotswold's" and really wanted to find the village. It took some asking and looking up on the internet before finding the region. It wasn't just one town, the small homes are in an entire area, across a few villages. The small homes were beautiful, especially at sunset. Our poor little slug didn't make it long as a wedding party walked the trails and smashed our little friend. We are grateful Utah doesn't have anything similar in appearance. It was getting late and after approximately 200 miles in one day, we thought it would be best to head back to London.
