LONDON / PARIS - DAY 7

Once again, our new hotel offered breakfast so we quickly ate and headed to the nearby metro station. We bought another "Hop on- Hop off" pass which stopped at the Louvre first. We had one of the first reservations so we planned out our visit. The museum is so incredibly large that we knew we wouldn't have time to see everything. We set the time limit to 2 hours. We headed for the Mona Lisa first knowing the line would get longer throughout the day. We only had to wait 5 minutes before we saw the infamous painting. We looked at the Royal jewels, ancient artifacts and the apartments where the early royal families lived. It was just the right amount of time before heading back out to see the Arc De Triomphe du Carousel. Our next stop was Notre Dame. Unfortunately, we couldn't go inside due to the church being renovated from the 2019 fire that destroyed much of the interior of the church. We walked around the church, grabbed a bite to eat and did a little shopping before getting back on the bus. We stopped at the Palis Garnier which we wanted to tour but didn't have the time so we decided on the second best thing, we found a Lindt chocolate store and shared an ice cream dessert. We passed by Moulin Rouge and took an Uber to Sacre-Coeur where we toured the basilica that overlooked the City and walked around the small town adjacent to the church. It was a long day and we were ready for another early night in order to be ready for our early morning.
