Unfortunately since it wasn't a great year for snow, it took us a while to FIANLLY hit the slopes. Our first outing didn't come until February!! It was definitely worth the wait. This particular ski trip we had a catastrophe. Mom and Auri ended up riding the last few runs together while Dad, Skyler and Aysia stayed as a group. Mom and Auri decided to call dad and let him know we wanted to take one more run, apparently because of that phone call we caused Skyler's ski poles to break. Dad answered the phone just before getting off of the lift when he realized they hadn't put the bar up yet. He frantically tried to push it up not realizing Skyler's ski poles were caught and he snapped them in half. So Skyler got to ride down the slope with half ski poles. I guess that is one way to reward yourself with some new ski poles for the next ski trip! We know our ski days as a family are becoming fewer and fewer since the kids are getting busier and busier. We definitely missed Jayden this year. Brighton is our usual family ski resort and we always look forward to the weekends we get to spend at the family cabin.
