After breakfast at the Hotel, we returned the car and hopped on one of the big red buses near our hotel. We toured through London and stopped at the London Tower where we were finally able to tour the castle and see the Royal Jewels. We were happy that due to Covid there were very few travelers which meant very few lines. Since we weren't able to see Westminster, we were hoping to seen St. Paul's Cathedral where Princess Diana and Prince Charles were married. It had just closed 3 minutes before we got there. We were disappointed and tried to talk the attendant to letting us just peak in, but she said no. After a few more minutes of begging, she mentioned she couldn't let us because they were getting ready for a service that would start 45 minutes later. The doors would open back up in 15 minutes. It would have been much easier if she would have mentioned that in the first place. So we walked around and headed back to peak inside. It was beautiful and actually a bigger church than Westminster. We Finished our "Hop on, Hop off tour" and walked around Buckingham Palace which was a little less magnificent than you seen on television. The garden's surrounding the Palace were beautiful. We found an Italian restaurant to eat at and headed back to our Hotel for yet another early night since we weren't able to sleep well each night due to the time change.
