BOSTON TRIP - DAY 10

We wanted to make the best of our last day of the trip. We stopped by Plymouth Rock which was said to be the rock where the first settler stepped foot in the United States.  We then toured the Mayflower II which was a replica of the Mayflower that brought some of the first settlers to the US. It was interesting to see the small size of the vessel for how long they had to sail the seas. The conditions were most likely horrible and you were lucky if you made it to your destination. We stopped by the Plymouth Cemetery and museum before grabbing some lunch at a sandwich shop that had the most amazing Reuben sandwiches. Then of course we couldn't pass up the ice-cream shop on our way back to the cars. We didn't have plans for the remainder of the day, the Pace family wanted to go back to Boston to tour more of the city, but we had other plans. We realized Providence, Rhode Island was only an hours drive from where we were so we headed that way. Once the Pace Family got word of our excursion, they were excited to join us. Once we arrived, we wanted to scooter around the city. Since the twins weren't old enough and Dad wasn't mobile, we had Traycen and Lacee tag along for an extreme scooter ride through the city. The old buildings were incredible and very few people were on the sidewalks which made it easy to maneuver around. Our favorite place to ride around was Brown University. We saw a storm coming in and thought it would be best to head back to our car. Dad said he knew the way so we all followed only to be lead to the Freeway. Of course we didn't continue on, but were grateful for GPS. We made our way back and saw a Cheesecake factory right next to where we parked so we parked our scooters and headed inside only to realize we just missed a down pouring of rain. It was a great memory and we are glad we did it. Noelle and Janson along with the others found the Providence Temple, walked around and got stuck in traffic due to the wind/rain storm. It was a great way to end the trip. The next morning we left for the airport by 4:00 am for our 6:30am flight. Luckily all of our flights were on time and we made it home safely.
