We arrived in London around noon. Luckily it didn't take long for us to get through security. We bought a Metro pass and headed towards our Hotel, The Hard Rock Hotel right across from Kensington Gardens. We were grateful that the Subway was right around the corner from our hotel which made it very convenient. We had just enough time to check in and head back out to make our reservations at the Tower of London. Unfortunately, they made the mistake on their website that it was open 1 hour later than it really was. So we rescheduled our appointment for 2 days later when we could take the time to really explore it. We decided to take a boat ride down the River Thames where we passed by several iconic buildings and structures. We saw the Tower Bridge, London Bridge, the London "Eye" (Farris Wheel), Parliament and Westminster Abbey. We were sad Westminster was closed and we wouldn't be able to make it back during opening hours, but the outside was beautiful. We had to get our infamous "Telephone Booth" picture. We walked around Parliament and headed back towards our Hotel where we ordered some Fish & Chips. Luckily we both enjoy the same foods so we split nearly every meal. We were exhausted from the long day of traveling that we headed back to our hotel for an early night so we could get an early start in the morning.
