BOSTON TRIP - DAY 6

After spending the night in Rockland, we woke up and walked the main street and shopped. We had an extreme change in weather. A cold front came in which dropped the temperatures from the 100's down to the 60's. We knew this would be the case before traveling so we packed for hot and cold weather. It was a little drizzly, but we wanted to walk to the Rockland Breakwater lighthouse. It looked closer than it was. The wind from the cold front and being on the water made it extremely cold. The kids had fun running around and playing tag along the way. Unfortunately the lighthouse was closed, but it was fun to see up close. We were so close to the Owls Head lighthouse that we headed that way. We hiked a bit to get there, but were happy for the stop. Grandpa stayed back in the hotel since he knew we would be hiking around. He needed the break from all of us anyway.  We headed back to the hotel to go swimming and get ready for dinner. We walked around the streets of Rockland and asked around for the best Lobster. We were told the Lobster Shack was the place for us. The kids were ecstatic to share a large lobster and figured out how to crack the meat out of the shell. Dad and Skyler shared one as well while Grandma had a seafood salad and Mom crab macaroni and cheese. We hustled back to our room where we watched fireworks over the water. A great way to end the day.
