We missed hosting our Halloween Party last year. Mom and Noelle have been consistent for years and enjoy themed parties. This year was not exception with the "Game Show" Theme. We started with amazing appetizers that Grandma Woobie made for us. Unfortunately, she wasn't feeling well so she dropped them off. Bats (Chicken Wings) and mummies (meatballs wrapped in crescent rolls). They were definitely a big hit. It had been a while since we had a "Mystery" Dinner so this was our year. Everyone was given a menu with several items to choose from where they could only choose 10. There were items from flying saucers (plate) to Zombie Fingers (hotdogs) and from Ghost puss (milk) to tomb stones (hotdog buns). There wasn't anyone that had a normal meal. Some ended up with 3 drinks and no main course or some didn't end up with silverware or plates and had to eat off of the table with their hands (gloves of course). At the end, we let them all come up for seconds or in many cases firsts! The kids, and adults, got a kick out of dinner. Then it was on to the games! We separated into 4 teams. We had the Wheel of Fate that each team would take turns to spin and whatever it landed on was the activity they had to participate in to earn points. Monster Mash (group dance), Goggles (obstacle with drunk goggles), Charades, Bean Boozles, Slurp (slurp a food first through a straw), Fuzzy Feels (blind feeling of living things or objects), etc... Everyone really got into each activity. Our favorite was the Fuzzy Feels when Aysia spun the wheel. She had to put her hand into a covered cauldron and tell us what the item was. She screamed when she felt something hit her hand. We told her she could invite someone up to help her so of all people on her team she chose Kassidi who wasn't much better. After putting her hand in, she felt something, screamed and accidentally pulled the cloth off the top. Crickets jumped out everywhere and screams came from many in the crowd. Luckily we had some brave people in the audience that saved the day and were able to gather all of the lost crickets. Grandma was worried there would be crickets involved, but we told her it was fine and there was no way for them to get out. We were wrong, but we were able to find every last one. It was a very interactive, fun party. We look forward to next year! Time to start planning!!
