For Labor Day, Dad went to his yearly Dave Matthew's Band concert in Washington with Shane. Mom was getting tired of all the shoes and bags all over the floor where you walk in from the garage into the hallway so she recruited Skyler for a project. They decided they would build a hallway mudroom. Mom had never done anything like this, so after watching many YouTube videos on everything from nail guns to stud finders and how to caulk. They were ready to tackle the project. So off they went to Home Depot for several supplies. Mom didn't realize how many kinds of one item there were so she would ask the customer next to her buying something she needed but not knowing what specific kind of that item. The employees even cut the wood to the measurements they needed. Skyler did a great job with the air gun. We had to ask Dad a couple of questions and he was very concerned about the way it would turn out and wanted us to wait. We wanted to prove him wrong... and we did. After 3 long days of work, we had ourselves an official Hallway mud-room. Mom even found baskets the exact size she needed. Needless to say, Dad was very impressed when he returned home. He was worried the hooks would come out the minute we hung a heavy bag, but Mom and Sky were proud to announce they were nailed into the studs! Sky and Mom made a good team, bring on the next project!
