Our trip back East did not start out intentional. Originally, last year we were supposed to take a Church History tour starting in Kansas City and ending in Palmyra where we would watch the last Hill Cumorah Pageant. Unfortunately it never happened due to Covid, but we were able to rent an airbnb in Montana with Grandma and Grandpa Pikus and the Pace's to make up for it last year. So we started over. Planning our Church History trip once again for this year only to realize not everything would be open and things were changing so fast that we didn't want to plan our trip only to miss out on some key places we wanted to visit. Since our flight vouchers were only good for 2 years we knew we needed to decide on another vacation. Noelle had mentioned Maine and Boston has always been a place all of us had wanted to visit. So we started planning. We would visit Boston, New Hampshire and Maine. Before we started, Aysia, Auri and Mom made sure to pamper themselves with a trip to the salon to get their nails done. The next morning, we were off to the airport. Mom was a little weary about Dad coming with us since he has had an ulcer on the bottom of his foot for 8 month that has not been healing and needed to stay off of it. But Mom and Noelle had a good talk with him and told him he could only come if he used "Trigger" (his scooter) the entire time and wouldn't be grumpy. The Pace family flew on separate flights so we helped Grandma and Grandpa between airports. We arrived at our hotel in Boston after a long travel day. We were ready to eat and found a little Mexican diner to eat at across the street. Something Auri ate didn't sit well with her stomach and she threw up all over the floor as we were getting ready to leave. We made sure to leave a little extra on the tip. We went back to the hotel for an early bedtime so we could be ready for the next full day of adventures!
